Our next step in going green is using less electricity but unplugging appliances when not in use, turning off the radio when not really listening to it, turning off TV when no one is in the room, and making sure kitchen lights are off when we leave, also not using all the kitchen/dining lights unless they are actually all needed.

My husband and myself would love to afford a solar panel. Right now we use canvas bags for food shopping, open blinds in the day time for light and heat and recycle cans, bottles and plastic.

My next green step is to have a 'green hour' everyday when I turn off all things electronic and spend time outside in a way that doesn't up my carbon footprint. To this end, I've also been thinking about starting a spring garden :)

We are currently working on our next step. We have cleared a large area out of our garage and have six bins for recycling. Our area doesn't do pick up so we had to hunt first how to drop off (and where), but we finally found out how! We are very excited to finish the project and start. (We just moved here, our old city had curbside pickup. Recycling was easy and everyone did it, not so here!)

Cheers, Kiy

We're always looking for new ways to live a more enviromentally friendly lifestyle. It's so important and I'm glad that my kids will grow up thinking these things are the norm.

We just recently started lowering our thermastat. I'm trying to keep it lowered... but I'm always cold no matter what it's set on. So I'm working on that one still.

The next thing we're doing is switching our trash bags to ones made from recycled materials. Just gotta use up my stock of regular bags first.

Oh, and thanks so much for the chance to win. Those necklaces are great!

We have recycled everything that one can for a few years now and I stick everything in one or two containers in the kitchen and my husband moves it all every night to the laundry room containers. My issue is I really need large container for things once separated as it all piles up so messy and cluttery, esp cardboard stuff and plastics. So I would love more organizing tools. We only take it to the recycle warehouse once a month or so when I have had it with the clutter and Whine, Such a girl!
